QIC and the DAAF Foundation Continue Collaboration in 2024

Welcome! We are excited to announce QIC’s third consecutive year supporting the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation (DAAFF) and the Indigenous Fashion Projects (IFP) through the National Indigenous Fashion Awards (NIFA) in 2024. This partnership reflects our commitment to celebrating excellence in First Nations fashion.

Our Commitment

Justin Welfare, QIC’s First Nations Affairs Lead, expresses our enthusiasm:

“This collaboration is incredibly important to us as it aligns with the targets of our Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan to foster community partnerships with First Nations organisations, support employment, and increase procurement through First Nations-owned businesses. Our ongoing involvement with the DAAF Foundation and IFP is a crucial part of QIC’s First Nations Strategy, and we are excited to see this partnership continue to thrive through the Local Talent Activation Program and other initiatives."

2024 NIFA Sponsorship

QIC will sponsor three NIFA awards: Community Collaboration, Wearable Art, and the new Business Achievement Award. These awards celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and designers. Their work will be showcased at Canberra Centre and Eastland. Join us in celebrating First Nations fashion and stay tuned for our 2024 winners!
