As has been the case throughout this COVID-19 period, the health and wellbeing of our entire community is our number one priority.

Alongside adherence to relevant COVID Safe Plans, we continue to implement and maintain stringent precautionary measures to keep our entire community safe. These include:

• A strengthened focus on disinfecting commonly touched areas, sanitising high-touch points with high-grade disinfectant throughout the Centre.
• Ensuring that our cleaning principles adhere to the guidelines set by the Federal Government’s Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection for COVID-19 principles.
• Positioning permanent hand sanitisation stations at key points throughout the Centre.
• Rolling out public hygiene advertisements across the Centre, reinforcing the preventative measures each of us should adopt.
• Installing signage and floor decals across parts of the Centre, reminding our community to keep 1.5 metres between themselves and others at all times, including when queuing or moving through the Centre.
• Adjusting air-conditioning systems to maximise the intake of fresh air, ensuring that quality air is circulated throughout the Centre.
• Working closely with our retail partners to help ensure that we are all playing our part to keep our shared environments safe.

We’re doing all we can to keep our community safe, but we can’t do it without you. We ask that you continue to play your part in keeping our community safe:

• Check-in into the Centre and any stores that you visit using the Queensland Check-In app
• Having your vaccination status ready to show staff at applicable retailers on request
• Always keep at least 1.5 metres between yourself and others, including when you’re moving through the Centre or queuing
• Maintain personal hygiene by regularly washing your hands and using the sanitiser stations located throughout the Centre for your convenience
• Handle illness safely by coughing into your elbow or a tissue, and most importantly, stay at home if you’re feeling unwell.

We continue to closely monitor public health updates and regularly review the range of measures we have implemented to help keep our community safe and are prepared to respond quickly should we need to.

Community notice | 20 December 2021

We wish to advise that individual/s who recently visited stores within Hyperdome Shopping Centre have now been confirmed to have COVID-19. As a result, COVID-19 exposure sites have been identified at the Centre.

15 December 2021

• Camera House between 10.55am – 11.10am
• Woolworths between 11.15am – 11.25am

If you have visited these locations during the relevant times, you are considered a low risk contact and must do the following:

1. get tested at your earliest convenience, but you do not need to quarantine until you receive a negative test result
2. continue to monitor for symptoms and if you become symptomatic, get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.

These retailers are being guided by Queensland Health in their response, including undertaking deep cleans of their tenancies and sending staff members home to be tested.

Changes to Hyperdome in accordance with Queensland Government mandates – 8 December 2021

From Friday 17 December, you’ll see a few changes at Hyperdome as restrictions are eased across Queensland.

In line with Queensland Government advice, from Friday 17 December, the following businesses will only be accessible to vaccinated adults aged 16 or older, or those with a medical exemption:

• Hospitality venues (including restaurants and cafés) to provide dine in service. Unvaccinated customers can continue to purchase takeaway food and drink from our hospitality venues.
• Indoor entertainment venues, including cinemas, bowling alleys and amusement arcades.

  Our food court will remain open to all customers, regardless of their vaccination status. We have posted QR code signage throughout the food court, so please make sure you check in using the Check In QLD app.

  In line with Queensland Government directives, while only fully vaccinated customers or those with a medical exemption can access the venues listed above, those partially vaccinated or unvaccinated members of our community can continue to shop in-store at essential retailers, including:

• Grocery stores
• Pharmacies
• Post offices
• Newsagents
• Clothing stores
• Gyms
• Food courts
• Restaurants, cafes and fast-food restaurants for takeaway only.

In response to the evolving COVID situation, the Queensland Government has confirmed that it continues to be mandatory to wear a mask in all indoor settings (unless seated), or where social distancing isn’t possible.

This means that anyone visiting Hyperdome will be required to wear a mask when they are not seated, unless one of the following exemptions applies:

• Medical reasons
• Under the age of 12
• Practical reasons e.g., eating or drinking
• Any other circumstances where it’s not safe to wear a mask.

We ask that our community remains respectful to others as reasons for not wearing a mask are not always obvious.

To help keep our entire community safe, please be sure to bring an appropriate face mask with you the next time you visit Hyperdome.

• Any other circumstances where it’s not safe to wear a mask.

The Queensland Government has announced the further easing of restrictions in South East Queensland from 4pm Friday 27 August. However, the Government has confirmed that masks are still required to be worn in all indoor settings. This includes during your visit to Hyperdome, or where social distancing isn’t possible.

This means that anyone visiting Hyperdome will be required to wear a mask at all times, unless one of the following exemptions applies:

• Medical reasons
• Under the age of 12
• Practical reasons e.g., eating or drinking
• Any other circumstances where it’s not safe to wear a mask.

We ask that our community remains respectful to others as reasons for not wearing a mask are not always obvious.

Changes to Hyperdome in accordance with Queensland Government mandates – 8 August 2021

The Queensland Government has announced that the mandated lockdown of south-east Queensland will end at 4pm Sunday 8 August.  While those businesses that were required to close during this lockdown will reopen, some restrictions will remain in place until 4pm Sunday 22 August, including: 

• Masks are still required to be worn in all indoor settings. This includes during your visit to Hyperdome, or where social distancing isn’t possible.
• While restaurants and cafes can reopen for seated eating and drinking, standing service remains prohibited.

Community Health and Safety Notice | 5 August 2021

QLD Health has advised us that person/s who visited the Centre on Saturday 31 July are now confirmed to have COVID-19.  As a result, COVID-19 exposure sites have been identified at the Centre.

Saturday 31 July

• Coles between 11:30am and 1:15pm
• Robins Kitchen between 12:55pm and 1:15pm
• Earth Markets between 1:00pm and 1:20pm.

QLD Health have classified these exposures sites as casual contact sites, meaning that anyone who visited these stores during this time should get tested and self-isolate until they receive a negative result.

In response to advice from QLD Health, these retailers have responded swiftly to this notification, advising staff working during these times to self-isolate and get tested and undertaking additional cleaning within their tenancies.

Centre Management and the identified retailers are working with QLD Health to identify who may have been in recent contact with the individual/s who tested positive, and we understand they will be making direct contact with those identified.

Our community’s health and wellbeing is our overriding priority and we continue to maintain a range of measures to help keep you safe when you visit Hyperdome. These include:

• Strengthening our already stringent cleaning processes, including a heightened focus on sanitising high-touch points with high-grade disinfectant, as well as increasing the number of cleaning rotations each day.
• Placement of hand sanitiser stations at key locations throughout the centre, including our main centre entrances and Customer Service Desk for our entire community to access.
• Installation of signage across our Centre, reminding our community to keep 1.5 metres between themselves and others at all times, as well as the placement of Australian Government-issued information posters in our bathrooms which outline crucial information on how you can help stop the spread of COVID-19. 
• Contactless wayfinding, available at our Centre directories, allowing you to scan a QR code on your mobile to find any store in the Centre.
• Continuation of our Order and Collect service, allowing you to order from your preferred Hyperdome stores and have your order delivered directly to your car. Find out more here.

While visiting Hyperdome, we ask that you continue to play your role in keeping our community safe. This means: 

• Social distancing – always keep at least 1.5 metres between yourself and others.
• Exemplary personal hygiene – wash your hands regularly and use the sanitiser stations located throughout the Centre for your convenience.
• Handling illness safely – cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue and, most importantly, stay at home if you’re feeling unwell.
• Adhere to capacity guidelines – Please adhere to maximum capacity numbers which are outlined at the entrance to selected retailers, the Food Court, Market Room and Kids Play Areas.
• Acting with kindness - we ask for your support in ensuring Hyperdome continues to be a place of kindness and compassion for all our customers and staff throughout this unprecedented situation.
• Using the QLD Check In App - We encourage you to check in at Hyperdome, as well as any retailers you visit, next time you are at the Centre by using the Check In QLD app to scan the QR codes available to you. 
• Plan your visit - due to restricted numbers in our restaurants, beauty salons, gyms and cinema, please ensure you contact individual retailers to book your visit.
